Hawaii Links

  • Extreme Hawaii Fun showcases what it entails to be a true native of the islands: speaking Pidgin English.

  • Everything Aloha contains unique links relating to Hawaii and more. I thought the weather forecasts were interesting. Also available are Hawaii volcano activity reports.

  • A large list of Hawaii links maintained by the Panther.

  • Take a Photo Tour of Hawaii. Very nice pictures!

  • The Hawaiian Lifeguard Association page has ocean safety tips, a beach directory, and sharks of Hawaii. Nice pictures too.

  • The Hawaii Kai Neighborhood Board has a Website dedicated to my neighborhood. Check out these pages to see where I dwell! Take a virtual tour of Hanauma Bay, Sandy Beach, the Blow Hole, and Koko Crater (as seen in my photos). See rare historal photos of Hawaii Kai. Also view the neighborhood crime statistics...

  • To see live video cam shots of Hawaii, check out these links:
    Planet Hawaii - Aloha Tower Marketplace cam
    University of Hawaii - Manoa Valley, Sunset Beach and several more cams

  • Hawaii Chat Aloha is a neat place to chat with others using your web browser. Nice design and nice people.

Hawaiian Vocab

    Here are some Hawaiian words that are good to know if you're in the islands:

    Akamai  =  Smart (get brains)

    Keiki  =  Child

    Kokua  =  Help

    Mahalo  =  Thank you and/or goodbye

    Ohana  =  Family; the spirit of community

    Okole  =  One's behind; buttocks

    Ono  =  1. Great-tasting; delicious.  2. A type of fish (which, excuse the pun, is ono).

    Pau  =  Finished
