UNCLE CLAY:

Uncle Clay is the 4th owner of Doe Fang, all previous owners were from the Far East. People of the community are happy to see that this store is finally being run by a local boy.

Uncle Clay is the third of five children in the family of Alfred and Mary Chang. He attended Aina Haina Elementary School, Niu Valley Middle School, Kalani High School and then the University of Hawaii.

He was the co-leader, with his older brother Rodney, of the popular rock-n-roll band the Harmonics. Uncle Clay and Rodney both played the Accordion. The Harmonics was formed in 1963 and had many performances through 1972! The Harmonics won numerous statewide competitions (11) and performed every weekend for various events.
