October 11, 2000 - This semester has been pretty good so far. I'm learning a lot in my ICS classes. My chem class isn't too bad either. I've been working part-time as well. And I still have some time for leisure! :-) Old stuff: May 3, 2000 - Spring semester is almost over! Today was the last day of classes. I finally finished my last major project--a search applet--and submitted it (via email) just before midnite. I feel pretty relieved!! Now for final exams... I have three on Monday and one on Wednesday. That's pretty unfortunate to say the least. It's been quite a semester... April 5, 2000 - I got pretty busy all of the sudden, so I haven't been able to update the site for a while. I will try to add some worthwhile content periodically though. As always, I will highlight the new additions in the "what's new" column for easy finding. March 26, 2000 - First draft of the Web Development section is now online. I'll be adding more content as time permits. March 11, 2000 - I redid the menu button interface so that it blends more smoothly with the top panel. The new graphics are much smaller than the old ones too. I also put the underlines back in hyperlinks for increased readability. Be sure to check out the new links on Web development in the links section. February 28, 2000 - I finally got the chance to redo my homepage banner! Up until now I was using this dragon pic that I stole from Mortal Kombat. However, that was only intended to be temporary until I could replace it with something original. Since today ended my current round of exams and my ICS 311 project was also due today, I sat down and drew that ugly thing that you now see at the top of every one of my web pages. Aren't you lucky? I was my own inspiration for that image... that's how I felt this past weekend! February, 2000 - I redesigned my web site! It became the project for the weekend. This time I'm using the full browser window--for all of you hi res surfers out there. Instead of using tables of fixed width, I changed it so they fill the whole browser window instead. This should accommodate all typical monitor resolution settings. I didn't realize that so many people used 1024 x 768. Or maybe it's because these are ICS students that I've been talking to. I have the old version saved in the archives for history's sake. I'll probably keep samples of each major design as I implement newer ones. Right now I guess I have that designer's itch. However, I best be studying for my upcoming exams instead... for the time being. I made myself a schedule for the semester, but it's pretty difficult to actually stick to it. Well, at least I'm not wasting my time doing wasteful things--IMHO. I still say that if you don't have one already, make yourself a schedule. Stick to it, and you'll reap the rewards. That's it for now. I'll be adding more content as the days go by. ciao.
